Mark Joshua Epstein is based in Ann Arbor, MI. He received his MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art and a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. Recent solo shows include Turley Gallery (Hudson, NY) and Asya Geisberg Gallery (New York, NY). Recent group shows include Geary Contemporary (Millerton, NY) and Gaa Gallery (Provincetown, MA) He has recently been an artist in residence at the Fine Arts Work Center (Provincetown, MA), the British School at Rome (Rome, IT) and the Golden Foundation for the Arts (New Berlin, NY). His work has been written about in Two Coats of Paint, Chronogram and Hyperallergic.

Will Hutnick is an artist based in Sharon, CT who received his M.F.A. from Pratt Institute in 2011 and his B.A. from Providence College in 2007. Hutnick is a 2021 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Painting, and has had solo exhibitions include at Geary Contemporary (Millerton, NY), Pamela Salisbury Gallery (Hudson, NY), Elijah Wheat Showroom (Newburgh, NY), Standard Space (Sharon, CT), Providence College Galleries (Providence, RI), One River School (Hartsdale, NY), The Java Project (Brooklyn, NY), and St. Thomas Aquinas College (Sparkill, NY). He is currently the Director of Artistic Programming at the Wassaic Project, a nonprofit organization that uses art and art education to foster positive social change.

Although having collaborated previously on several wall paintings, this piece is from Epstein and Hutnick’s first collaborative series of works on paper.
